Memory Lane: Saturday, July 12th, from 1-3 p.m. at La Follette. Ever wonder what the halls of La Follette look like after 20 Years? Check out the new La Follette Archives and History Museum and see for yourself. This one-of-a-kind museum, located next to the La Follette LMC, was opened for the first time this past October after four years of collecting over a thousand artifacts archiving the school's 40-year history. Everything from old issues of The Lance to prom dresses, athletic uniforms and old yearbooks are on display. It is the achievement of Victoria Straughn's Social Studies students with the help of several generous financial gifts and the cooperation of alumni who donated La Follette memorabilia. Enter through the F-Wing doors and follow the signs. La Follette is opening its doors especially for us! Also, if you have La Follette items that you would like to donate to the museum bring them with you.

Hammons Dr., Middleton (take Beltline west, exit at Greenway, turn left on Greenway, then left on John 0. Hammons). Enjoy hors d'oeuvres, beer/soda, great conversation, DJ/dancing, and home movies of our high school days and past class reunions. Semi-formal attire recommended.

A publisher approached the La Follette Booster Club in 2002 to create a "comprehensive directory" of all graduates. You probably received a postcard in the mail about this. The Class of 1983 did not undertake this effort. Our contact directory is completely separate from their printed directory. Some people have received their printed copies; the reviews are mixed. The reunion committee found about 40 out of 170 missing people using the printed alumni book.

If you want to be included in future revisions of the publisher's book for free, or order a printed copy for yourself for $90+tax, then call the Harris Publishing Company at 1-800-214-4799. According to their web site, data gathered by Harris is not sold to anyone except alumni and the contracting organization (the Booster Club), but use your own judgement.

For your reference, two commercial web sites with La Follette pages are listed below. You might find people from other classes listed there.
